Before you enquire
Answers to common screen hire questions.
Every venue is different. These answers help you prepare the information needed to confirm a suitable display and accurate quotation.
What screen sizes can I hire in Edinburgh?
The current listed monitor options are 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch and 98-inch commercial 4K displays, with a 90-inch option available to discuss on enquiry. Availability is confirmed for your dates.
How much does big screen hire cost?
The listed rates are £240 per day / £720 for three days for the 65-inch Samsung QB65R; £300 / £900 for the 75-inch Samsung QM75R; £400 / £1,200 for the 85-inch Samsung QM85R; and £750 / £2,250 for the 98-inch Samsung QM98T. The 90-inch screen is priced on enquiry. All hire prices exclude VAT, delivery, setup and collection. These costs are quoted separately. Confirm accessories and hire duration in your quotation.
Can I connect my laptop to a monitor?
HDMI is commonly used for presentation laptops, but compatibility depends on the source device, output resolution, required adapters and the display inputs. Tell us which device you plan to connect and whether you need audio or multiple sources.
Can the screen play content without a laptop?
Some commercial signage displays include media-player features, but supported formats, storage and playback workflow vary by model and setup. Explain whether you need a looping video, still images, a presentation or live computer output so the playback method can be confirmed.
Do you deliver, install and collect the screen?
Delivery, setup, installation and collection depend on the equipment, venue, access and event schedule. These arrangements must be confirmed in your quotation; do not assume they are included in the equipment hire rate.
Should I choose a monitor, LED wall or projector?
A commercial monitor can suit meetings and presentations where a 65–98-inch image is sufficient. An LED wall may suit a much larger or custom-format image. Projection can work for larger images where brightness, throw distance, surface and ambient light are appropriate. Share the venue and content for advice.
How do I choose the right screen size?
Consider the furthest viewing distance, audience layout, room dimensions and the smallest detail people must read. Audience numbers alone are not enough to determine screen size. Our screen hire guide explains the main checks.
How far in advance should I enquire?
Enquire as soon as you know the event date and venue, especially for larger displays or multi-screen requirements. Availability is not confirmed until it has been checked and agreed.
Can I hire other AV equipment with a screen?
Yes, Pegasus Sound & Light has a wider AV hire catalogue, including related event equipment. Tell us about any audio, microphones, staging or other presentation requirements in the same enquiry.
